In April 2000 Emory
University brought the PeopleSoft Student Administration software
online, replacing the Registrar's legacy system. The
system is accessible via the Web for the Emory community of
computer users. |
|
The Web based student information
system is called:
Online Pathway (to) University Students
Please note the following
changes that occurred in Registrar processes for students
as a result of the Web accessibility of the new system.
|
Grades are available on the Web for password
protected student viewing. As in the past, if students want their
parents to receive a copy of their grades by mail, they must
notify the Registrar's Office in writing. |
A student's latest schedule is available
for password protected student viewing on the Web; this replaces
the student receiving an e-mail update each time there is a schedule
change. |
Students will not
be able to choose to display/not display directory information
in the campus directory separate from the choice to display/not
display directory information in the off campus directory.
There is no distinction between on campus and off campus directories
and your information will or will not be displayed in both
locations. |
|
Users will be
able to utilize the browser "Print
screen" option for any screens to which the user has access
in the OPUS Web system, including schedule and grades. |
In order to access OPUS each computer
user must have the following: |
Your Emory Network Account I.D. and Password.
You may also know this account as your Emory Dooley/Eagle Account. This
is the only I.D. and Password that will allow you to gain access
to OPUS. If you do not know your Network I.D. and Password go
to the Computer Support Center at 230 Cox Hall with your Emory
picture I.D. for assistance; |
OPUS can be accessed from any computer
with an adequate Internate browser. For Mac users you will need
Internet Explorer 5.x with 128-bit encryption. For PC users
you will will need Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher with 128-bit
encryption. Computers for general use may be found in the InfoCommons
area in Woodruff Library, White Hall, and the Dobbs University
Center. Students can also use their own residence hall computer
lab or school specific computer lab locations. |
